Guest Application Form
Thanks for applying to be a guest on the Flow Artists podcast - if you have any questions at all, please email us at podcast@flowartists.com
Just a few points below, as we want to be completely upfront about everything we do and we want to make the Flow Artists Experience as pleasant as possible for our guests, our listeners and ourselves!
We promise to show our guests in the most positive light we can, but we also insist on having creative control over the final edit of our episodes. We also reserve the right to not take part in the interview or publish the interview if it does not align with our personal values.
If it's absolutely necessary ie you have concerns about how the recording might affect your professional standing or your personal safety, we can provide a copy of the episode before we publish it, but editing an episode takes us around 4-6 hours, and extra last-minute edits can take even longer, and may cause the episode to be delayed.
When we do edit, we generally only edit for clarity - removing ums, long pauses etc. We won't generally change the order or context of your words.
We prefer to record our episodes in person if possible and at our studio at 10 Separation Street, Northcote, Melbourne Australia. This means we can have maximum control over audio quality, which we want to be as high as possible!
If we can't record in person we use Zencastr or Zoom to record our podcasts. We will send you a unique link a few days before the interview. Please ensure that you have a good quality microphone and headphones, and record in a quiet room that does not have too much echo.
If we can't meet in person, we require images from you to include in the promotion of our episode - please supply a portrait for the thumbnail (at least 1500px wide), and a landscape for social media (at least 1200x650px). We can crop larger images to suit. Please email photos to podcast@flowartists.com
We will share a list of potential questions with you about a week in advance, and we welcome your feedback so we can tailor a great episode for you!
We use the questions as a rough guide, and we like to take the conversation where it feels it is the most flowing and where it is the most fun!
As we both lead busy lives, the best times for us to record are on weekends, particularly Saturday afternoon, or any time on Sunday Australian Eastern Standard Time, but we will endeavour to organise the most suitable time for all parties.
If you're still reading, great! We look forward to hearing from you.
